The
present versions of the five volumes that make up the
Conflict of the Ages series were written by E. G. White over a period of some 27 years. They originated as stand-alone volumes and over the years have been distributed singly, or as a set in many languages. The first two volumes cover the Old Testament, the second two are on the New Testament, and the last volume covers the long-running controversy between Christ and Satan as especially manifested in the Christian Era with special emphasis on the end time Bible prophecies such as in the books of Daniel and the Revelation. Thus, between the five volumes, the entire Bible is spanned in a very readable narrative or story form. Nearly in whatever area of the Scriptures one is reading, you will find excellent insights in one or more of these volumes.
This inspired and inspiring series clearly presents bible-based insights into the experiences and beliefs of God’s people down through the ages, and of the founders and pioneers of the early Christian Church.
During the Dark Ages the Bible was kept from the majority of the people. As a
consequence, major portions of Bible truth were lost sight of and those eras
were indeed dark spiritually as well as in all areas of knowledge. 
During
the Reformation, God raised up valiant men who chose to stand with the truth
that they discovered in the Scriptures rather than to continue following the
dominant religion of that day. A number of these men such as Wycliffe, Huss,
Jerome, Knox, Calvin, and others, were major players in the formation of a
number of our present Protestant Denominations. The rediscovery of lost Bible
truth has been ongoing, and the reader of this series will be thrilled and
inspired as the discoveries and teachings of our founders are presented in ever
clearer Bible light. This Conflict of the Ages series was written for all faiths and will indeed continue to be of great benefit to all who desire to understand the real and awesome issues confronting
each one of us in these closing scenes of earth’s history.
